CHW Ag Test Kit 2.0

Principles

The Anigen Rapid CHW Ag Test Kit 2.0 is a chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of canine Dirofilaria immitis antigen in a dog’s serum, plasma or whole blood. The Anigen Rapid CHW Ag Test Kit 2.0 has a letter “T” and “C” as a test line and control line on the surface of the device. Both the test line and control line in the results window is not visible before applying any sample.

The control line is used for procedural control. The control line should always appear whether the test procedure is performed correctly and the control test reagents the cable is working. A purple colour on the test line will be visible in the result window if there are heartworm antigens in the sample.

Specially selected canine heartworm antibodies are used in the test band as capture and detection materials. These allow the Anigen Rapid CHW Ag Test Kit 2.0 to identify canine heartworm antigens in a dog’s serum, plasma or whole blood with a high degree of precision.

Materials provided (10 tests/kit)

1) Ten (10) Anigen Rapid CHW Ag Test Devices
2) Ten (10) disposable sample droppers
3) Ten (10) anticoagulant tube
4) One (1) instruction for the use

Precautions

  • For veterinary diagnostic use only.
  • For best results, it is necessary to strictly follow these instructions.
  • All samples should be handled as if they were potentially infectious.
  • Do not open or remove the test kit from its individually sealed pouches until immediately before use.
  • Do not use the test kit if the bag is damaged or the seal is broken.
  • Do not reuse the test kit.
  • Before running the test, all reagents should be at room temperature (15~30℃).
  • Do not use reagents beyond the expiration date indicated on the label.
  • Do not mix components from different lot numbers. The components in this kit have been quality control tested as a standard lot unit.

Storage and stability

1) The kit can be stored at room temperature or refrigerated (2~30℃). DO NOT FREEZE.
2) Do not store the test kit in direct sunlight.
3) The test kit is stable until the expiration date marked on the package label

Test procedure

  • Remove the test device from the foil pouch and place it on a flat, dry surface.
  • Extract the sample with the disposable dropper.
  • Add two (2) drops (approximately 80ul) of canine serum, plasma or whole blood in the sample hole. If the migration has not appeared after 1 minute, add one more drop to the sample well.
  • As the test begins to run, you will see a purple colour move in the result window in the centre of the test device.
  • Interpret the test results for 5 ~ 10 minutes. Don’t decide after 20 minutes.

Test interpretation

A band of colour “C” will appear in the left section of the result window to show that the test is working correctly. This band is the control band. the right section in the result window indicates the test results.

1) Negative result

A single “C” band within the result window indicates a negative result.

2) Positive result

The presence of two colour bands (“T” and “C”) within the result window, does not
no matter which band appears first indicates a positive result.

3) Invalid result

If the purple control band (“C”) is not visible within the result window
after performing the test, the result is considered invalid. addresses may not
have been followed correctly or the test may have deteriorated. This
recommends that the sample be retested.
